Nominations for The 53rd Annual Drama Desk Awards will be announced on Monday, April 28, 2008, at 9:45 AM at the New York Friars Club, 57 East 55th Street, in Manhattan. Multi-award winning stage, screen and television actors Bebe Neuwirth and actor Len Cariou, will make the announcements. Other speakers include William Wolf, President of the Drama Desk; Robert R. Blume, Executive Producer of the Drama Desk Awards; Barbara Siegel, chairperson of the Drama Desk Nominating Committee and Randie Levine-Miller, Director of Special Events for the Drama Desk, who annually produces the nominations announcement ceremony at the NY Friars Club. A continental breakfast will be served at 9 AM featuring sorbets by Wine Cellar Sorbet.

The 53rd Annual Drama Desk Awards, hosted by the cast of [title of show], opening on Broadway in July, will be held Sunday, May 18, at 9:00 PM in the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center.
For the sixth consecutive year, the Awards Ceremony will be webcast live by TheaterMania (www.theatermania.com). It is also expected to be broadcast live on XM Satellite Radio’s theater channel – XM-28 On Broadway.
