The Official Drama Desk Cocktail Reception honoring this year’s Drama Desk Award Nominees will be held Tuesday, May 1, 4 to 7 PM at Arte′ Cafe, 106 W. 73rd Street, between Columbus Ave and Broadway, where nominees will receive their Nomination Certificates.
Many of this year’s Drama Desk Awards nominees are expected to attend the reception, including: Frank Langella, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Brían F. O’Byrne, Christopher Plummer, Meryl Streep, Blythe Danner, Sandra Oh, Annie Parisse, Live Schreiber, Kevin Spacey, Vanessa Redgrave, Paul Sparks, Hal Prince, Jack O’Brien, Doug Hughes, Jerry Mitchell, Michael Grandage, Patricia Birch, Matthew Bourne, Bill T. Nominees will be invited to create personalized sketches for the Drama Desk’s Art*Kives program, now in its seventh year. Sponsors of the reception include Arte′ Café and Grey Goose Vodka.

The 52ndt Annual Drama Desk Awards will take place Sunday, May 20, at 9 PM at the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center and will be televised as a two-hour special on NYC TV Channel 25 New York Thursday, May 24 at 8 PM and Saturday, May 26, at 10 PM; day, and on Thirteen/New York on Sunday, May 27, at 12:30 PM. PBS stations nationwide will also broadcast the TV special starting June 1. It will be webcast live by TheaterMania.com on Sunday, May 21, at 9 PM and will be broadcast live on Sunday, May 20, at 9 PM by XM Satellite Radio’s theater channel – XM-28 on Broadway.
