Event: 50th Annual Drama Desk Awards Ceremony and VIP Receptions
Date: Sunday, May 22, 2005
Time: Awards Ceremony: 9:00 – 11:30 PM; Arrivals: 8:00 – 8:45 PM
Place: FH LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center, 100 Amsterdam Avenue at West 65th Street
The 50th Annual Drama Desk Awards Ceremony, hosted by Harvey Fierstein, will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2005, at 9:00 PM at the FH LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center, 100 Amsterdam Avenue (corner of West 65th Street).
5:15 – 7:45 PM -- Pre-ceremony VIP Reception for Nominees and Presenters at Typhoon Restaurant and Bar, 22 East 54th Street, between Fifth and Madison Avenues. (Buses will be available to move guests from the reception to the concert Hall.)
8:00 to 8:45 PM – Arrivals of Presenters and Nominees through Concert Hall door on West 65th Street between Amsterdam and West End Avenues
9:00 – 11:30 PM – Drama Desk Awards Ceremony at which Awards will be presented in 27 categories in addition to five additional Special Awards. Working press are invited to follow the proceedings from the Press Room backstage at the Concert Hall where media can watch the awards ceremony on a television monitor. Winners and Presenters will be escorted to the Press Room immediately following each award presentation to meet the media and pose for photos.
11:30 PM – Post-Awards Ceremony Reception at Compass Restaurant and Bar, 208 West 70th Street, between Amsterdam and West End Avenues.
